Basic Tree

Basic Tree

There is just something about trees that calms the soul and feeds the spirit.  Nature, in all its glory sings to us in its vibrant state. In winter, the shape of a tree, boughs rising in contrast to the sky behind, is a calming presence in a stark landscape.

Trees are symbols of physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation, sustenance, spiritual growth, union and fertility.

Also used as a  symbol of growth and strength, and immortality and rebirth.  The tree of knowledge lends a wisdom to the symbol.

A tree of life is generally indicated with the presence of roots.  The roots reach into the soil, accepting nourishment from the earth.  The trunk provides a firm foundation, with the leaves reaching high into the sky for nourishment from the Sun.

The tree of life illustrates the bridge between the Earth and the Divine.  The Tree of Life illustrates the interconnectedness of all things; from the smallest organisms to our Earth being a part of the solar system, and the solar system being connected to the galaxies beyond.

First Nations people associate trees with permanence and longevity.  In Celtic tradition, the alphabet, the Ogham, has a tree assigned to each of its letters.

This medallion is a Simple tree with a twist.  This medallion looks great as a neutral accent to any outfit. Looks really good on a leather bracelet, for casual outfit selections.
